In the early month of October 2016, Your Shot photographer Rita Kluge went snorkeling along side humpback whales in Tonga. Here is her story of capturing this image. “One of the locations we were in was where they are getting born and nursed before heading with their mum to their new home Antartica. This cutie swam right towards me and came to a halt. With this wide angle lens you can imagine how close I was. I couldn’t stop giggling as he was just so cute looking at me. I think he asked if I would like to play with him or something.”
